Why this blog exists

I started Journey to Code as a place to document the process — not just the polished final result.

There are plenty of places online that show what success looks like at the end. I’m more interested in sharing the middle: the trial and error, the decisions behind the code, the lessons learned, and the small steps that add up over time.

My goal is to make this a useful space for other developers who are learning, building, and trying to grow their skills through real work.

I’m Mikey, a developer focused on building thoughtful web applications across the frontend and backend. I enjoy creating practical tools, improving user experience, and working on the engineering details that make applications reliable — things like testing, APIs, accessibility, architecture, and deployment.
